Wills
A Will does not just enable you to make decisions about who benefits from your estate. When it is prepared alongside estate planning, it can also minimize any tax payable by your beneficiaries.
We have vast and extensive experience of drawing up Wills in conjunction with estate planning, and use our expertise to ensure that your estate is preserved and protected in the best way possible. This includes advising on the potential impact of residential care home fees and ways of reducing liability.
We will also give you advice about appointing an executor, who will be responsible for applying for probate getting the right to deal with the estate of someone who has died. Executors can appoint someone else to do this and we are regularly asked to handle probate applications on their behalf.
Keeping your Will up to date is essential, and we recommend a review at least every three years, particularly if the value of your estate is likely to be above the Inheritance Tax threshold.
If you would like to discuss the preparation of your Will or conduct a Will review, please get in contact with us.
